  I recently applied for this apartment and I am having issues with receiving my holding fee back prior to approval of my application. I submitted my application over two weeks ago and was told the holding fee is refundable. Hampton Point claim they sent a rental verification to my current complex FOUR days later. However, I have yet to be fully approved and my approval is dependent on the status of my rental history. I no longer want to move into the complex due to their customer service and application process. Now they are telling me my holding fee is nonrefundable and I have yet to be approved. The application agreement stated that the holding fee is refundable if you cancel/withdraw the application prior to the approval of the application or denial of your application.
  
  The leasing office is also very hard to contact and they don't return calls when they promise. I would recommend that future residents take heed to the reviews for this apartment complex and management. Please be sure you want to move in prior to submitting the application, paying the application fee, and $300 holding fee; they are very shady. I can only imagine how they treat their residents if they treat future residents poorly.
