  Updating my review with my recent experience with Koons Service Department and packages they sell for the maintenance. The service department of this dealership is a joke. I purchased a pre-paid maintenance plan for my Mazda-6. It was the Premium package and had to cover all manufacturer recommended services up to 36k miles. The first oil change at no cost was promised when we purchased a car by Koons. When the time came for the first oil change, they charged it against my plan which I purchased and paid for. This reduced the amount of oil change (the plan limits up to 7 as I remember). To Koons Mazda: Can you tell people why do you promise services which you charge for later on? So the bad part starts now. Around 11k miles, I had to replace the cabin filter at my own because Koons does those replacements after 25k miles. I checked with Vehicle Manual given by Mazda. The filters (Cabin and Engine Air) have to be inspected at every service (5k miles interval) and replaced as needed and not exactly after 25k miles. Koons sells the maintenance packages which have to follow the manufacturer recommended guidelines, but Koons doesn't follow those. Koons performs the convenient services on your vehicle for them and not when you car need. Since you already paid "Good Luck" to you with getting those services. You have to end up cancelling the Maintenance Plan and get a little money back. I recommend the Sales Department. However, you should stay away from Koons if you are servicing your car. Bring your vehicle for servicing to any other place. Never agree to buy anything related to Maintenance Plans. I'm not planning to go back to this dealer to purchase or service my vehicle. I purchased three vehicles from Koons since 2011. I'm very disappointed with Koons Mazda-Ford Silver Spring MD. I think Koons treat their product sales as "Sell it and forget about it". I was giving them 5 stars all the time. Now and forever 1 star. Stay away from Koons Mazda-Ford Silver Spring MD. I will certainly get in touch with Mazda USA Office that they lost one loyal Mazda Brand Customer. Moving towards Toyota with its FREE 2 year Maintenance Plan and unbeatable sales numbers and reliability.
